Wolin 2005:

Wolin may have been the site of the Viking stronghold of Jomsborg. It lies right up in the northeastern corner of Poland.
The annual market and battle is about the same size as Moesgaard, but dominated by eastern European reenactors.

Many photographs on this page are by Nis Staack www.nemoart.net

A hollow tree trunk, carved, skinned with oxhide, played by 4 drummers on a platform, which in turn stands on an earth bank across the battlefield.
